The idea for Denik brand began when fouder, Tyler was told that one of his drawings would look awesome on a notebook. Growing up he was told that he shouldn’t pursue art as a career. Seeing an opportunity to build a brand around creative, cause-based notebooks, he and his co-founder Jake gathered up a team of college students at Utah State University and set out to create change. They started gathering artists and designing and binding notebooks. And with each item sold, a portion of the proceeds was set aside to fund the building of a school in Mali, Africa. Since then another school has been built in Mali, as well as one in Guatemala, Laos and Ghana.
